Streaming via webcam is very popular these days for personal and business use. The typical webcam can handle this with no problem, but when it comes to streaming video to multiple IM and video services it can get tricky. Windows doesn't come with a way to use a webcam with more than one program at a time, which means anyone who would like to do so needs to figure out a workaround. One easy solution is KVYcam, a program that allows you to simultaneously connect your webcam video with multiple services.
Using KVYcam
Downloading and installing KVYcam is quick and easy, and the program is free to use. The interface is clean and uncomplicated, which makes this software a cinch to use for PC users of different experience levels. After opening KVYcam, you'll see a feed from your webcam. You can then connect the feed to other programs by simply changing the settings. For instance, if you want to connect to Skype and FaceTime at the same time, you can do so while running KVYcam and your video feed will be split between the two services.
You can also use KVYcam to record webcam video. After you have the program open, click "Record to file", then choose a file name and audio source, which is usually your webcam's microphone. After pressing "Continue", the recording will start. You can pause or stop it at any time, and when the recording is completed, KVYcam will save the file as an MP4. KVYcam works on PCs running Windows XP (SP2), Vista, 7,8,8,1, and 10.
Conclusion
Its ease of use, simplicity, and excellent functionality make KVYcam a pleasure to use, and just about anyone can get the hang of it in mere minutes. If you often record webcam video or frequently find yourself needing to connect with more than one video service at a time, it's worth giving KVYcam a try. Even if you only casually use IM services, you never know when you'll want to stream the same video to multiple people on different platforms at once. In such a scenario, KVYcam would definitely come in handy.
